About Teaching and CourseSource

I regularly teach introductory courses in biology, genetics and microbiology, using a variety of active learning teaching methods in adapted to large classrooms. My professional interests include developing validated assessments of measurable learning goals, gathering data, and designing teaching tools to address identified needs. I am a former first generation student, so take a special interest in developing activities to ease the transition to higher education for students.
