About Teaching and CourseSource

I am a Professor of Biology and Co-director of Biochemistry at Muhlenberg College, a small liberal arts institution in Allentown, PA. While at Muhlenberg, I have taught courses in biochemistry, molecular biology, and genomics for both science majors and non-majors. In addition to wet-lab and in silico research focused on genome organization and DNA packaging, I have engaged in development of service learning projects, problem sets, and case studies. I also previously served as Director of Muhlenberg’s Faculty Center for Teaching.

I seek to create classroom culture that encourages peer learning and am committed to inclusive pedagogy, considering how identity impacts the teaching and learning environment. I value opportunities to share pedagogical and curricular ideas and support each other as educators, which is one of the reasons I am excited to join the CourseSource team.
